The main thing to note is that spell shields (ie Banshee's Veil) won't stop his abilities, and I can't believe this is intended, especially on his ultimate where a spell shield is broken but won't block anything. In the hands of a great player, I think we'll see him as one of the stronger initiators in the League. His ultimate just does so much for him in those situations where Rammus can't quite get in range (either due to crowd controls or other things). I also played him as a pure tank, which also worked well. His first pass through the jungle is the roughest, but by level 5 he is very good both in and out of the jungle.
